Programme Support

Supporting the JISC Transformations Programme

Projects participating in the JISC Transformations Programme will receive three tiers of support in achieving their project objectives.

  1. JISC executive support through standard programme manager processes
  2. Participation in the Strategic Information Practice Group
  3. Participation in community led activities such as events developed and delivered by projects themselves, with JISC support as available and appropriate.

JISC Executive Support

JISC has a well established framework for assisting projects deliver their projects, during the programme you will be supported through a series of meetings and telephone conferences as appropriate. You will also, as part of this support process, be asked to complete regular, short questionnaires and other light touch reporting tools in order for us to identify how the projects are progressing. In addition JISC will also be using critical friends to support each project.

Strategic Information Practice Group

The projects in the Transformation Programme will participate in the Practice Group as part of the support provided by JISC, based on the principle of “learning by doing together”. A key element of that support will be delivered through the use of Action Learning Sets, made up of critical friends and project staff from different institutions. The programme will also provide up to two places for staff to go through professional development opportunities including how to apply techniques such as Enterprise Architecture as a means of managing the delivery of organisational change.

Community led activities

Projects are encouraged to self organise workshops throughout the life of the programme, responding to the common needs of programme. JISC and its partners, where possible, will assist in the delivery of these workshops.
