Another resource that would be useful to engage with is the Programme Forum this is a place to discuss and describe any institutional issues that you are considering addressing under the call, please use this forum as it will help us to gather information about issues that institutions are facing and inform our practice both within the call and our wider programme of work.
The briefing for the JISC Transformations Call will take place between 11:00 and 13:00 on 17th August 2011. It will take place using Elluminate.

JISC Transformation Call for Bids
The objective of the Transformations Programme is to help institutions move towards organisational change through the application of existing JISC and other resources in order to:
a. Enhance their student experience
b. Improve the efficiency of their business and become agile in a climate of change
c. Enhance their organisational capability for business and community engagement
£1 million is available for this Programme in the 2011/12 Academic Year and this is the first of two rounds of calls. The second is due to be published in early 2012 depending upon the level of funds remaining. £15,000 per project is available to bidding institutions that are already committed to business change.
The closing date for bids is 12 noon UK time on 15 September 2011. 12-18 month projects are expected to start by 7 November 2011 and complete no later than 31 July 2013. Bidders will be required to complete a short structure bid form.
An online briefing event will be held to provide further information about the background to the call and its objectives. It will be held during week commencing 15 August 2011. Further information, including the date of the event and how to join, will be announced on this blog in the near future. The programme is aimed at supporting institutions to effect organisational change through the application of existing JISC and other resources. And is aimed at staff where they are contributing to the delivery of business change underpinned by ICT in one of the following areas:
- enhanced student experience;
- improved efficiency and/or cost savings;
- enhanced organisational capability for business and community engagement.
The programme will also be providing an extensive support package using action learning and providing development opportunities for staff involved.
